Royals , Castles, Beaches & Zone Conference

The Prince and Princess of Wales visited Pontypridd this past week. Even though there were a lot of people waiting outside we ended up seeing them inside the Ponty indoor market where they had been making Welsh Cakes. William and Kate seem to be genuinely good people.

They also visited a garden area that got flooded. Our missionaries helped there cleaning up after the flooding.

Zone Conference for Bristol, Cardiff, Merthyr and
Cheltenham Zones
Sister South's amazing food fare.

Sister Dixon & Sister Hansen

Elder Nyoni & Elder Preece
Elder Phillips of the Seventy was trained missionaries at our Zone Conference.

Brother and Sister South's last Zone Conference. They were a big help to us when we first came to the UK and beyond. Sister South was an amazing cook who fed the masses. They will be missed.

Coety Castell
As we were looking up some people's addresses we looked across the street and found this castle. A Norman castle built in 1126

With a moat and a bridge.

About 30 young boys who were on half term break came to play ball. They surrounded Matt at one point and were asking questions one after the other about the US. It was an interesting event.

St. Mary's Church next to Coety Castell.
Built in the 1400's

Old tree in front of church watching over the cemetery.

Maybe the owners have become fishers of men.

3 Cliffs Bay, Swansea
We took a little detour to 3 Cliffs Bay. The 20 minute hike down to the beach was lovely. Nice to be out in nature.

Neolithic burial place.

St. Catherine's Pontypridd Church
So sad that these beautiful churches don't have the money to keep up on the maintenance of these structures.

Such beautiful stained glass windows.

Family History Class
We are starting a 10 week Family History Class this week at the church.

Hikes & fun with the missionaries

We were able to go on a few hikes with the missionaries this month. Hiking the Garth was cold but fun hiking with Sister Timothy and Sister...
