We were able to go on a few hikes with the missionaries this month. Hiking the Garth
was cold but fun hiking with Sister Timothy and Sister Cuyos.
Beautiful view of Cardiff from The Garth

The Welsh Dragon always reminds you of where you are.
I love that all throughout walking areas in the UK there are benches set up in memory of family members.
Time out to enjoy the view!

Saint Gwynno Church
We stopped by here on our way back from our hike to the falls. This church has been around for centuries but was restored in 1894. The church is locked but you can go to the pub a few hundred yards away and borrow the key to get in.

Taco Tuesday
I'm not sure if it was on a Tuesday, but Elder Herdt can't pass up a taco shop, especially when Elder Garcia is with him.

The White Stone blocks on the mound are called Trig Points, their markers of the summit of the hill/mountain.
ReplyDeleteThe "Stone Circles of sorts" is actually a Celtic Druidic relation.
ReplyDeleteIn Wales we have a huge festival annually that celebrates language, culture, literature etc of the Native Welsh Tongue. This festival is called Yr Eisteddfod (The Eisteddfod) in some areas of the US they ACTUALLY hold small versions of this.
The Gorsedd or the stone circle is placed in each area that holds a national Eisteddfod.
It's also related to the druidic practices of ancient times.
