A Few More Places of Interest:)

Tyntesfield
When we first arrived in the country we stopped by Tyntesfield while practicing our driving. We were there too late to go inside the manor house so we recently stopped back by and had the opportunity to go inside the house and chapel.

Tyntesfield, Somerset, is a 19th-century Gothic Revival house built on wealth from the trade in Peruvian guano by the Gibbs family. William Gibbs turned his business into a global trading powerhouse, making him one of the richest people in England. He and his wife Blanche hired leading Victorian designers such as John Norton and John Gregory Crace to create their home, filling it with a significant collection of art, set within formal gardens and parkland.

Beautiful Fall colors this time.

Tyntesfield House was decorated for Christmas with a fairytale theme.

The Chapel

Tredegar House
Newport
Welsh wealthy and wild, the Morgan family called Tredegar House home for the centuries. Claiming descent from the Welsh princes, the Morgans were influential in Newport and the surrounding counties in South East Wales. Learn how they played a big part in the social political and economic scene in the area and discover traces of the Morgans that can still be found in the local area to this day.

Beautiful manor house and stables.

Extensive Garden and Parklands

Pines that remind us of the Redwoods back home.

A branch on this tree broke and impaled itself on the fence.

Many places seem to have their own Stonehenge of sorts.

Beautiful flowers and gardens.

Stables

Puzzlewood

Walking through Puzzlewood felt like being in a setting
of Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit.

A variety of mushrooms were growing everywhere.

Walking through Puzzlewood was a fun day out.
