Week 11

Meet Rocky the Squirrel, our backyard neighbor. Elder Herdt has been feeding him nuts to store for the winter.

He will now peek the window to see if he can get more nuts
and even ventured inside

Iconic Red Phone Booths are being repurposed to defibrillator booths.
I'm happy to see some still around.

Remodeling 3rd story flats take some innovation to get rid of the debris when there isn't much space to work. It's not a slide for kids, although mine would have probably tried it. lol

I finally had some success making Chocolate chip cookies for our District Meeting.
Between different ingredients and oven it has taken me awhile to dial things in

Margam Estate Park
Near Bridgend

400 deer roam the 850 acres of the estate.

The Orangery is now used as an event center.
Saint Peter & Saint Matthew

Peter was raised here until he was 7. Now he volunteers here. Although the estate was not open he most graciously gave us a guided tour. The Estate had a fire and was burned our in 1978 but they are slowly restoring the estate as they have funds.

Something as small as a leaf can attract my attention.
These maple leaves are so big.

Senior Missionary Thanksgiving
November 22, 2024
We had a great time gathering with the 9 Senior missionary couples in the mission along with President and Sister Mayall.

I made Stuffing and rolls. It was my first time making stuffing from making my own bread crumbs from fresh bread. It actually turned out better than I thought it would. I may not go back to the old way.

Great times! Food, fun, games and gifts.
Sad to say goodbye to the Wallaces.
They were in the office over medical, housing and Cars. They did a great job!

We were able to go on a few hikes with the missionaries this month. Hiking the Garth was cold but fun hiking with Sister Timothy and Sister...
