Members and Missionaries

Lest you think we are on a vacation mission from all of the sights we have been able to see, I thought we would share other things we are doing out here in Wales.

We love serving with our ward members and missionaries!

This is Geoffrey Fennel. He worked on his family history for 13yrs at the Merthyr Family History Center before he became a member of the church. This scroll of his family history of over 1300 names stretches from one end of the cultural hall to the other. What an amazing accomplishment. He is now almost 90yrs old and still drives himself to church.

Brother Fennel is also a master carpenter who has built cabinets in his house and also this grandfather clock.

We had fun helping Brother and Sister Ford in their garden.

Sister Maulchaisong, (Choo) had the Elders and Us for lunch after helping Brother Ford. She is a great cook and made some great Thai food.

These two lovely ladies are amazing.
Vera Button and Jean Bentley.
Vera use to perform in the circus on the trapeze and horses and was the juggler on the train in the James Bond Movie, Octopussy. We have loved hearing about how they joined the church.

Pam showed us around the area when we arrived in the area She is a true missionary.

These two lovely ladies, Marilyn & Sue are amazing. We've had fun doing family history with them among other activities. There are some other members that have become family to us.

David Rees is another member we met. He recently lost his wife. He is such a sweet man.

We have had many great times with the ward. Ward dinners, parties, & temple trips.

We love spending time with the Elders and Sisters in our district and zone for teaching, P-days, conference and birthday parties.

A Mongolian Family Elder Herdt shared the message of the Savior with. Alex, Oyun and son

It takes a lot of cooking to feed these guys.

We also have great fun spending time with all of the
Senior missionaries
in the mission. There have already been 5 sets of senior couples that have finished their missions since we have been here. We have already been out 8 months on our mission.

We are also doing a Family History Class every Wednesday for the community.
Julie is an amazing Family History Instructor

We also have a fun time going on walks with some friends we have met that live near by, Colin and Christine.

Hikes & fun with the missionaries

We were able to go on a few hikes with the missionaries this month. Hiking the Garth was cold but fun hiking with Sister Timothy and Sister...
